Credits are currency that can be used for purchasing additional privileges, known as privilege keys. Credits are acquired by general site and forum use, based on contribution, not consistency. Additional privilege keys are not required to enjoy standard forum features.
Privilege keys give you access to additional features throughout the forums and the site, such as additional posting privileges, article and media ratings, custom thread banners, and more. Privilege keys can be purchased with credits from the Privilege Key Store.
You are welcome to post your thoughts, ideas, and opinions on almost any subject. Pornography, very much enjoyed by many of us here at Mental Discharge, is not acceptable here. Likewise, as a member of the Mental Discharge community, you are not allowed to advertise, spam, annoy Administrators, or act like a dipshit.
A dipshit offers contributions to the forums which are subject to account termination, such as:
advertising your shitty site. You're more than welcome to advertise your site in your signature, but if you want to use Mental Discharge solely for the purpose of showing off your corner of the Internet, you can pay us for advertising it;
composing messages as if you've repeated several grades of elementary school. It is not required for you to have perfect language and/or spelling skills, but it is required for you to demonstrate you can fire brain synapses without causing a nosebleed;
spamming to acquire credits. Credit acquisition is based on the quality of your contribution to Mental Discharge, not the quantity. If you're a rambling idiot, you will lose credits, privilege keys, or simply have your account terminated.
Advertising or spamming members using the messaging system is also grounds for account termination.
No. Freedom of Speech is a United States constitutional protection guaranteeing that the government will not oppress your political speech. We are not the government, nor will many of us give a flying fuck about your unintelligent political views based on research gathered from the The Daily Show. If we oppress your ability to speak here, your Freedom of Speech rights are not being violated. If you don't live in the United States, you don't have Freedom of Speech rights to be violated.
Mental Discharge employs its own custom built forum software.
Mental Discharge's innovative new ForumCode™ Technology is a set of forum-specific tags that allow you to add formatting and style to your posts. Native HTML, JavaScript, and CSS are not parsed. Access to use ForumCode™ is a default privilege for Mental Discharge community members.
To use ForumCode™, simply encapsulate the text you wish to manipulate with one or several of the ForumCode™ tags listed below. In order for ForumCode™ tags to parse, you must close a tag you open. Improper ForumCode™ usage, either through a lack of a closing tag or invalid characters, will simply cause your tags to not be parsed.
Incorrect Usage Example
Tags Used
[b]This is bold!
[b]This is bold![b]
[u ]This is underlined![/u]
Result
[b]This is bold!
[b]This is bold![b]
[u ]This is underlined![/u]
In the above example, none of the ForumCode™ was parsed because it was not used or closed properly. All ForumCode™ tags must be closed and cannot have spaces within their brackets.
